ADP (Assistive Devices Program)
All Ontario residents are automatically eligible for funding through this ministry of health program. Funding amount is $500/ear every 3-5 years. We are a registered APD provider and can help you apply for funding.
WSIB (Workplace Safety & Insurance Board)
If you worked in a very loud environment, such as construction, and are identified as having a noise induced hearing loss you may be eligible for FREE hearing aids and batteries for life
and up to $10,000 for disability. Call us today to book your hearing test so we can determine if you are eligible. If you are eligible we will help you make a claim for work related noise induced hearing loss.
ODSP (Ontario Disability Support Program)
If you have a hearing loss and are receiving Ontario Disability Support Program Income Support, you may be able eligible for FREE entry level hearing aids. Contact your ODSP support worker to get approval and then contact our office to book your hearing test and hearing aid evaluation.
OW (Ontario Works)
If your household doesn’t have sufficient financial resources to meet basic living expenses and you have a hearing loss you may be eligible for FREE entry level hearing aids and assistive listening and alerting devices. Contact your Ontario Works caseworker to determine eligibility and then contact our office to book your hearing test and hearing aid evaluation.
VAC (Veteran Affairs Canada)
If you are a veteran and have a hearing loss that is consistent with a work related noise induced hearing loss you may be eligible for FREE hearing aids, assistive listening devices, or alerting systems. Contact our office today to book a hearing test and we can help you
Most private insurance plans will have some coverage for hearing aids. Call us to book a hearing assessment and we will help you look into your coverage. We also have direct billing with Green Shield.
Disability Tax credit
If you have a significant hearing loss you may be eligible for tax credits amounting to $15,000 retroactively and about $1,500 every year going forward. There is extra funding for children under age 18 if family income below $150k. Once eligible you will automatically be eligible for the Canada Disability Savings Grants and Bonds too. Call us today to book your hearing test and we can help you complete the application form.
If you are not eligible for any of the above funding and cannot afford to pay for hearing aids up front don’t despair, you still have options.
