Special Guest Speaker: Emma Meade, the Vice President of Clinical Research at Neuromod Devices
Description: We had an opportunity to meet with Emma Meade, the Vice President of Clinical Research at Neuromod Devices. Neuromod is the company behind Lenire, a new dual-sensory device for tinnitus that was recently approved by Health Canada.
Lenire combines sound therapy with gentle electrical stimulation to the tongue – a technique known as bimodal neuromodulation. The goal is to retrain the brain’s response to tinnitus over time, and early clinical studies have shown promising results.
We had the chance to interview Emma to better understand how Lenire works and how it might fit into the broader landscape of tinnitus care. While the device is not yet available in Canada, distribution is in progress, and we are actively following its rollout to assess whether it could be a valuable option for our patients.
We are sharing this interview with you because staying informed about emerging treatments is an important part of our commitment to science-based care. If Lenire proves to be a safe and effective option, we’ll be ready to guide our patients through it with the same thoughtful, personalized approach we bring to all aspects of hearing health.
